Rainbow club at Waltham Holy Cross Infant School

About us:
Rainbow club is an after school and holiday club for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 at Waltham Holy Cross Infant School.
It is aimed at being not only a child care facility for parents but also a place where children will enjoy coming, feel valued, respected, stimulated and challenged.
The emphasis within the after school club will be on physical activities and home work. The holiday club will be able to offer many exciting activities to help the children to continue to develop their social, physical, creative and academic skills.
Parents are always welcome to call in to the club to see what we do and how the club works.
All staff are NVQ qualified to level 2 or 3.



Times:
The after school club will run from 3pm to 6pm on all school days
The holiday club will run for 8am to 6pm during the school holidays and INSET days, except for the Christmas holiday and two weeks in August (dates to be confirmed)

Timetable for after school club:
3 pm - 3.45pm - Children collected from classrooms, snack time and free play.
3.45pm - 4.30pm - Reading/home work. Literacy and Numeracy games.
4.30pm - 5.15pm - Free choice of selected activities.
5.15pm - 6pm - Tidy up and get ready for home. Story/video/quiet activity.
6pm - Home.

Timetable for holiday club:
8am - 9am - Settle in, breakfast, share news.
9am - 9.30am - Free choice play.
9.30am - 10.30am - Literacy games and practice.
10.30pm - 11.15am - Snack, themed activities.
11.15am - 12pm - Numeracy games and practice.
12pm - 1pm - Lunch time, play time.
1pm - 4pm - Structured activities including art, drama, field games, music, etc.
4pm - 5pm - Free choice play.
5pm - 6pm - Tidy up. Discussion of day. Prepare for home. Story/video. Home time.
Many of the activities will be outside, weather permitting.



After school club catering:
Snack: Flap jacks, muffins, plain biscuits, fruit, squash and water.

Holiday club catering:
Breakfast: Toast, cereal, yoghurt, crumpets, milk, squash.
Morning snack: Fruit, milk, squash.
Lunch: To be provided by parents in a lunch box.
Afternoon snack: Flap jacks, muffins, plain biscuits, fruit, squash and water.

Costs:
After school club is £7 per session.
The holiday club is £25 for a full day and £15 for a half day. (8am - 1pm or 1pm - 6pm)
Preference will be given to full time children.
We can offer a concessionary rate for siblings.
Payment is to be made in advance half termly or weekly.
